rwt3838
Can anyone tell me what this set of Rings fit? I have an original set of OEM Buick piston Rings, part #1338434 and can't find an application in any of my parts catalogs. They are for a 3-7/16" bore 8 Cylinder and are .020" oversize, but thats all the information I have. None of my listings show a Buick with this cylinder bore... The box is very old, individually packaged rings for what appears to be (4) ring groove pistons. They are labeled, top ring, second ring, third ring, and oil ring. The oil rings are still sealed inside a box that opens by the pull of a string. Any and all information will be appreciated!
Mrbuick714
Buick did not have an "Eight" until 1931,then in 1936 they came out with the 320 engine which had a 3 7/16 bore. This engine was used up through 1952. This skould help a bit.
Mrbuick714
Page 24,Buick master chassis book, (dated 1 1 50), Part No.1338454 ring set, !940 -1950 322 engine. One might assume they would fit 52 & 52,but would not find thet in a 1950 parts book
