I need a part for the shifter.I don't have the manufacturer # but it is a 1 ince hollow tube that is hollow and is frosted white in color. It is a small part that connects the interior shifter with the cables. A mechanic tried to put a rubber likeness that does work however if I drive too long it heats up and I get the smell of rubber. So I need a part that will not heat up as well as a good mechanis in San Diego, Co. khowry Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 I recently replaced the cv joints on my 89 TC. I replaced the motor mounts at the same time and found new ones at Auto Zone.
