Alex-Houston
The shaft on my '24 keeps twisting around and the belt will not stay adjusted properly. I have considered a spot weld to the head but what would you suggest to solve the problem? This is a daily driver that I have kept original except for coil and fuel pump. Suggestions? mrgearhead
ALEX:CHECK THE FAN STUD ON THE ENGINE AND MAKE SURE THAT IT IS TIGHT.NEXT REMOVE THE BOLT FROM THE FAN STUD AND REMOVE THE FAN ASSEMBLY.TAKE A KNIFE OR THIN BLADE AND MAKE SURE THERE IS NO DIRT OR CRUD IN THE SLOT FOR THE FAN ASSEMBLY.I HAVE HAD MY UNFAIR SHARE OF PARTS THAT JUST WON?T STAY ADJUSTED DUE TO TIGHTENING ON CRUD.ALSO MAKE SURE WHEN PUTTING THE FAN ASSEMBLY ON ENGINE MAKE SURE THE STUD IS CLEAN SO THAT THE ASSEMBLY GOES ALL THE WAY ON TO THE BASE OF THE STUD.HOPE THIS IS THE SOLUTION.CHEERS.
