Guest SalG (Sal Grenci)
Peter or Ron, Are the other clubs paying for the right to be hosted on the AACA DF? SalG
Guest
No Sal, the AACA provides the DF service for free to any club that wished to participate.
Peter
------------------
Peter Gariepy
peterg@aaca.org
www.aaca.org
Guest BruceW
When the DF first appeared on the AACA website, the Buick Club was already listed. Because of this.... and since the DF is titled "Collectable Car Discussion Forum" ... I assumed that the AACA was just another tenant allowed to use part of a larger forum service.
As long as it does not cost the AACA any non-reimbursed money or additional manpower, it should be a good inter-organizational source of information.
[This message has been edited by BruceW (edited 12-27-2000).]
Guest
I cannot help but feel that providing this free service to other car hobby groups reinforces our position as a leader within our hobby. Peter, thank you for all of your time and effort in this endeavor, ~
Howard
Guest
The only additional work is answering emails from those that forgot their passwords.
As to cost, there is no additional cost above the cost to host the AACA discussion forums.
Thanks!
Peter
------------------
Peter Gariepy
peterg@aaca.org
www.aaca.org
IndianaCarGuy
What,..you mean I have to remember my password? I can't even remember my phone number! Anything that allows me to check on Studebakers, Marmons, Coles, Haynes-Appersons, and others all in one place is perfect for me. I'm not exactly a "classics" person, and if you guys would talk more about 1900-1925 cars,..I won't complain a bit,...really!
RS

[This message has been edited by IndianaCarGuy (edited 12-27-2000).]
Guest BruceW
Peter...
Your reply is kind of what I suspected.
Welcoming the other organizations is a great idea...just the kind we have come to expect from our outstanding DF moderators.
Guest SalG (Sal Grenci)
Peter, Good idea behind the availability to other clubs, as hvs said it shows we are the leaders of the hobby. As long as museum $ is not involved, I can not see any negitive reactions. SalG
