Guest
Hello, everyone. I'm looking for new wheel opening moldings for my 65' Skylark. Does anyone know any vendors that carry it? I've seen pics of Skylarks with these moldings and it looks great. Thanks in advance for any help. As usual, this is place you know you can get the info everyone else is clueless about. YellowLark
You can't buy these new. Haven't been made for decades.
You do see them on eBay from time to time as somebody parts out a car.
Steve B
Try Carmen Faso at (716)693-4090. He had a barn full of 60s Buick trim at one point.
DugsSin
I've noticed that some 65's have them and some don't.
How would you determine if your 65 should have them?
Skyguy I agree they do add to the "class" of the car.
Doug BCA# 33850
Guest John Chapman
Dugs,
I've had the same question. What's confusing is the trim description for the Skylark. In the brocures, it refers to 'bright wheel moldings' as part of the package. But I see nice original Skylarks with and without the moldings. The ones without don't seem to have mounting holes drilled for the trim.
Skyguy,
The trim is the same for '64 and '65. Wagons have different rear wheel openings, so that trim won't fit a two/four door.
Cheers,
John
