Guest Posted April 15, 2004 My husband and I are trying to assist my dad in maintaining his 1965 cadillac coupe deville. He needs a center link...which is fine. However, in order to place an order for the part you need to answer questions about car that my father no longer have the answers for. One being, what brand of carburetor is in the car. My dad says its the original? The brands in the list to choose from are Holley, Rochester, Stromberg or Carter.Does it matter? I trying to order a center link. Does the brand of carburetor make a difference on the center link?ButchandRita
52deluxe 0 Posted April 15, 2004 the carb should be marked somewhere on it. probably on the bowl either side or top. might be a small metal tag sticking out from under one of the bolts holding it down. tom
6219_Rules 0 Posted April 15, 2004 Welcome to the forum, ButchandRita! The answer is that each carb is different. So it gives them an idea of what they are dealing with, especially if it is not an original. You can find all of the details about the 1965 Cadillacs at the Cadillac Database . The engine came with a Rochester #701930 4 bbl carb. I got this information from the database. Hope that helps!
