My Little Adventure.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...

Well I just got back from North Carolina. I flew out to pick up a my "new" toy it's a 1989 Burgandy/Ginger/2.2 Automatic and I drove it back here to San Jose. It took four days and had a great time.

I got a great picture of the car underneath a route 66 sign!

I got great mileage, and love the attention that the car gets at the gas station. I even got a honk in Flagstaff AZ from an owner of a white TC ( I thought there was only one white TC build )

It's great to have a TC again... I have to get used to driving with a lot of turbo lag, but I'm soooo tickled about the car.

Keen Fun!!!

It was great to read your post. Glad you found your car. Glad the trip was a positive adventure. Glad to see no mention of bucks or complaints. I can well imagine there will be many that will enjoy hearing of your adventure in the years to come. My last long distance automotive adventure was a 17 hour bus trip to pick up my Ebay purchase only to discover it to be $2,000 away from the car as represented. That return bus ride only seemed as long as your drive home.

Ya know Jeff, A very simple "grainger" valve install will go a long way twards curing

the 'turbo lag' A bunch of that lag is actually your computer holding back the boost

schedule at lower RPMS to reduce the torque the transmission has to deal with. Dawes

Devices sells the ready to use Grainger valves or you can build your own.
