How tight should they be? I note they have castelated nuts for split pins to make sure they don't shake loose.Mike Link to post Share on other sites
Rolf 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 Yes Mike, I think you are on the right track, you do not want to tighten the front mounts too much on the front donuts, so that there is no movement possible, this would defeat their purpose, I would say just snug them down, install the cotter keys, and go on to the next problem, good luck, Rolf Link to post Share on other sites

Out of curiosity, I looked through my Mustang shop manual for torque limits on similar arrangements where there is a rubber bushing that has to tightened down. If I *had* to put a torque value on what you are doing, I'd say around 15 ft. lb. Link to post Share on other sites
