gsb954
I had a quick question about the compatibility of the relays. I have an 88, but was looking at the current e-bay items being auctioned off from a 91. Are the relays generally interchangeable or not? Also, I want to get a service manual but don't see many of the ones for the 88. Can I get at least an 89 manual since both years have the touch screen or should I hold out for an 88 manual. As you might have noticed, thanks in large part to this forum I have decided to keep my Reatta! Thanks for all of your help.
padgett
Are some differences (console switches, glove box, motor mounts, cooling fan wiring) between 88 and 89 but not a whole lot. Would be better off with 89 manual than no manual at atoll.
2seater
Essentially all relays are interchangeable, which is nice if you suspect one and want to try switching them. As long as they have the same common five spade connections, and the right amperage rating, they should work just fine. The five spade connection relays will work as both normally open and normally closed so many times one connection is not used in any particular option. The only relays that are specific are the ones with special holders, such as the ones on the firewall, but any relay with the correct connection will work in those locations too, they just have to be supported in some other manner.
