Unknown paint job

This weekend was beautiful in Central Massachusetts so I decided to take my TC out for a ride (with the top up as it was still below 50 deg). I had to drive over some puddles so upon my return I decided to take a wet cloth and wipe some of the dirt off until I am able to give it a good wash. In the process of doing that I found a paint run on the driver side door. I decided to look further and found that the trunk lid seems to have an area right above the tail lights where it looks like filler was used and not sanded all that well so you can see some surface imperfection. Knowing that the Italians are excellent in their coachwork, this discovery floored me and I realized that is the inspection I should have done before buying the car. I would have still bought it, though. I am still madly in love with my '89 TC. I guess it is like any other love relationship.
