Guest
I have an esoteric question that I know someone here will be able to answer. I just sent two clocks from 1956 cars out to be repaired. The fellow doing the repairs called to ask me if I knew that the two were different. One came out of my '56 Executive, the other I got cheap on Ebay. If you can picture a clock out of a 56, it has a center circular medallion where the hands are located. The one out of my car is dull (very dull) gold, almost olive in color. The center medallion out of the clock purchased on Ebay is bright metallic gold. He thought that perhaps the "gold" clock was out of a Caribbean or Patrician. I thought that perhaps the "dull" clock was just dull from age. Does this make any sense at all? Thought you Packard Clock experts might have some ideas.
