Guest
Anybody know any sources? Dropped off my radiator at the shop and the guy said it needs a new core. Would charge me $325 for the part/installation.

Is that reasonable? If not, can I beat that price by finding something somewhere else? I already checked CARS & Buick Specialists with no luck there.

Guest Skyking
I paid $ 275.00 for my 62 Invicta, so he's in the ball park..........
Reatta Man
Chances are, the price shocked you because your radiator is a downflow design. Many radiators, including virtually all Harrison GM radiators have been sideflow since about 1964 or 1965.
I'm sure he had a lot of fun just finding a new core. The price doesn't seem that bad. Most of it is labor, which is probably running you $65-90 per hour.
Joe
FireballV8
I just got mine back for my 1955 Century. It was done in 4-row and he even got me a new bottom tank. The radiator looks excellent. It cost me $216 including tax.
If you want to send your radiator to Southern California, I can give you his number.

our51super
We paid about $330 to have our radiator re-cored so again it sounds like you're in the ballpark.
