Guest AlK
Great buy. You stole them. I sold a pair of NOS ones a couple of years ago and got 10 times what you paid. They should not be difficult to put on just be carefull where you place the holes. If someone has a car that already has these on it would be great to copy from or measure. However does your car already have the "bulls-nuts" taillights, if not it may look a litle awkward. I am not sure if the 52-54 had the fins with the horizontal tail-lights. 52deluxe
heh, no i dont have the bulls nuts tail lights *writing that one down* but he sent me a pic of the car they cam off of and it had the same tail lights as mine. but these r the fins for the regular big oval tailights, had im measure the ends to make sure. i just love the way they look and the 54 caribean at the last show was the last straw. i just get hesitent when i have to start drilling holes, so i will measure 3times at least. cant seem to find my shop manual which covers accesory installation but it should turn up before they arrive "i hope"tom
Guest Randy Berger
Tom, make a template from the fins and tape that to the fenders. I know what you mean about being nervous drilling holes. I felt that way mounting my spotlights - drilled through the fender, through the firewall, through an inner panel and through the dash and then through the dash cover - both sides!YFAM, Randy Berger
Jack Harlin
52 DELUXE Would you like me to measure ours & give you hole center locations? The fins are removed for painting. You could use masking tape & mark centers on it. Jack
52deluxe
i would love that, i checked my shop manual but it says a template is included in the kit. these r used so no temp. i should have them this week, also would rubber washers work ok for gaskets? any recomendations on gasket material would be helpfull.thanks in advancetom
Guest Albert
mine have a rubber gasket around them, I had to loosen the fins on the Patrician to change the taillight lens, you could use some dum-dum as well like they use on some of the other body molding

52deluxe
well i got them about a week ago "ups mixup" then mother nature decided it would be fun to make me wait "the garage is not heated at all" but yesterday we had a break in the weather it hit a whopping 40. the first fin was the one that took the longest 1 1/2 hrs of measuring ,double checking, and a little tweeking. the second one took all of about 30 min, i hit the local hardware store for some neoprine washers that were about 3/16 in thick and put a dab of silicone on them "mostly to get them to stay put." i am very happy with the way they look and even the wife likes them, they are bigger then i had imagined which is good :-) i have attached 2 pics one rear and one rear/quarter, they are a little dark as the sun was setting and it took a while to find batteries for the camera. the spots in the rear/quarter pic are not on the paint they are glare from the sun "just out of the pic" all of the help and measurements made this a lot easier then it probably would have been with out it.thanks very muchtom

Guest
Tom! The fins look great. I had no idea they ran the whole length of the fender. Congrats, they really dress up your car. Fred
