Guest Shaffer
LOL. My father pointed that out to me this morning on Fox News' website. Some people refer to big cars as boats. I guess this one really is. I just do not want to watch them sink this one like they did that 50 Chevy truck last year.

GSTURBO
An article and picture were on the front page of the Flint journal today with a quote by Terry Dunham that he would have begged them to tow it ashore.
NTX5467
Is there some millionaire Buick enthusiast that might fund a "search and recovery" mission? Might make a nice museum item of sorts. Maybe something for the Smithsonian? Interesting point -- if it's illegal for the Average Joe to dump used motor oil out on the ground or similar, who has jurisdiction over the waters that our Coast Guard just put a few quarts of used motor oil, several gallons of gasoline, and other hazardous materials into? Should they file an "Environmental Impact Study" before they do that and should they be made to clean up the "hot spot" with "Super Fund" resources?Just some thoughts . . .NTX5467
Reatta Man
At first, it is funny. Then, after thinking about it, I realize how much we take our country and our rights for granted. There was a missionary who worked in Cuba and came to our church to tell us about the work there. The Castro secret police continually find ways to harass them. Once, he spent four months in jail because the sign he put on the church building was too big and the government didn't approve. No wonder that these people are risking their very lives just to have a taste of what we enjoy every day. "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." Benjamin Franklin"We...solemnly publish and declare, that these colonies are and of right ought to be free and independent states...and for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honour." Thomas Jefferson, from the Declaration of IndependenceI know the forum is about Buicks, and the photo is terrific, but thanks for reminding me of WHY those people got in that car. They were not driving to Home Depot for a box of nails; they were driving to be free. Maybe Buick should use THAT in their advertising.
