Guest
I know that there was a supercharger on one of the Regal GS models, and I was wondering if anyone knew if the Supercharger was compatible with the 3800 Series 1 V6 that is in my 94 LeSabre? I had heard from a friend that they had the same series engine, and I had just wondered if anyone had done it? If anybody would know how long and how much it would cost to get it done? Would anyone suggest doing it? Feel free to stop by my Buick Page, http://www.geocities.com/srbush82/94buick.htmlSuggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated. NTX5467
The supercharger case and manifold might physically bolt onto your existing engine, BUT packaging everything else PLUS getting everything to work on the computer side of things would be quite a job. It might be that a setup for a Park Avenue Ultra might be better to start with. The other thing is that later engines usually have better power output. You might check with someone in the RegalGS.org website or one of the Pontiac Grand Prix websites on the feasibility of such a swap.In one respect, you could get closer to the added power with other means than the supercharger. There are lots of hi-perf parts for the 3800 V-6--high ratio rocker arms, camshafts, headers, intake air ducts, and exhaust items (usually for the Grand Prix models, but adaptable to the similar Buicks) so that extra 35+ horsepower can be had without supercharging and probably less work than adapting the supercharger. www.3800performance.com is one website and there are others . . . LOTS of good tech information in there too!Don't forget to upgrade the chassis with stiffer struts and some high performance brake pads too!Enjoy!NTX5467
