Anyone familiar with this gorgeous 1960 Buick Electra 225?

Looks like this car sold for $16,866 -- not bad at all for a four-door hardtop. The condition of the car appears to justify the price.

I know that others out there agree with me that the '59 - '60 General Motors 4-door hardtop roofline was a very interesting style, and I think that this probably has something to do with the strong price on this car.

Even exceptional 4-door sedans of the era can command strong attention. Check out this '59 Pontiac Star Chief: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6417&item=2456218914

(There had been a bidder on this Pontiac at $11,000, but looks like the bid was retracted.)

Holy Smokes! That 59 Poncho is absolutely stunning! (You know I've got a soft spot for "survivors").

And I agree...the 60 Buick 4dr brought top dollar, but probably deserved it. I hope a BCA member bought it so we can see it at a future meet!

It is a stunning automobile and a rare find. The 60 Pontiac is also stunning. My uncle has 4 1960 Pontiacs- two are base Catalina 2-door sedans, one is a Safari wagon and the most recent is a top of the line Bonneville 4-dr hardtop (flat top), with a roofline similar to this Buick.

Congratulations on your new Buick.
