Guest
Would like info from anyone on a 1926 Star. We have had the Star about 15 years and don't know anything about it except that it was locally owned. Star
Guest DeSoto Frank
The Star car was a product of Durant Motors, William Crapo Durant's second auto empire after he got booted out of General Motors. The Star was the "budget" automobile of the Durant Corporation, competing with the Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge Brothers, and Overland. It disappeared with with the rest of the Durant family of cars - Durant, Flint Six, and a couple of others...My Uncle Norman had a 1926 Star Coupster in his younger days - around Baltimore in the late '20s.They're not very common these days...certainly not llike Fords or Chevys of similar vintage.
