R W Burgess
At Philadelphia on February 13th and 14th, the AACA Forum group(that's us!) will have a booth set up in the Trade Center(where all the neat cars and exhibits are). This booth will need help manning it these two days. PeterG will be there to set things up. We have other members helping out; Pete Heizmann, Sal Grenci, Judy Edwards, and myself. There are many seminars going on during this time period, so a lot of us will be interested in attending them. Our problem is getting enough help to man the booth and attend seminars too. I will be contacting PeterG to set up a work schedule and would appreciate any help we can get. I'm sure the booth will be shut down during the two seminars that PeterG will be conducting(certainly don't want to miss that). One hour or 30 minutes from each volunteer would be especially helpful. I'll try to get a time schedule set up by the middle of the week, or if you know when you can work, please let us know here on the forum. You can private message me, if you're shy! Or, incognito like Dave@Moon (those spys gotta be careful). I'd like to see you at Philly Dave! Wayne
Bill Stoneberg
Wayne,You should have a computer set up and running to be able to show the people what this forum is all about. R W Burgess
Tell you what Bill, we'll put up a computer setup if you come to Philly, fair enough? Actually, we'll have a computer setup for use. PeterG guaranteed it wouldn't freeze up either. Boy, can't wait to show him what my fingers can do. Whoops.....froze up again. Wayne
1937hd45
Wayne, Chances are good that I'll be here while you're in Philadelphia. Will you be showing "Rookies" how the Forum works! I'd be happy to post replies to what they post.
R W Burgess
Absolutely Bob. We can use you for that, very helpful. That's probably the only thing I'm good at. I couldn't do a proper "search" on info I posted 2 days ago. Showing the guys how to search, how to post on the proper threads and how to correct their posted mistakes, how to register, and bunches of other fun stuff will be the order of the day. I'll try to steer them away from "Rants and Raves". No sense in running them off, before they even get started. Wayne
Guest SalG (Sal Grenci)
Two years ago PeterG had a laptop going and we were able to show people the site. Many AACA members stopped by to say hello and checked out the DF.

1937hd45
Peter, I'm a computer dummie and can remember clearly the days before I got one, nobody would show me what "The Internet" was. Salespeople in all the big stores expected you to buy a computer and find out after the fact. I think there will be one or two people at Philadelphia that are new to all this info they are missing. Will you have a "Guest FD Member" registered so people can type in a question and hopefully get an answer during the day? I think if more people can see what they are missing they will be more willing to get involved.
R W Burgess
Peter, Thanks for coming on. The next post after yours from Want1937/Bob today relates to Bob's earlier post of being able to answer questions for any "newbys" that might show up at the booth. Bob will be home during our booth operation days. That service might be handy for the new guys. Wayne
