Guest imported_V12Bill Posted January 16, 2004 Share Posted January 16, 2004 Ricko, After soaking in CRC, PB Blaster etc, I have had some success by striking the end of the shock arm and mount on the axle with a 3# Hammer. One or two blows seems to be enough of a shock to break loose the rust. Heat is not a good idea as it burns the rubber socket around the ball and stud. When all else fails I use a gear puller on the stud. It would be advisable to blunt the point on the gear puller. Bill Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
