Bill Stoneberg
I am looking for the latch shown below to help keep the tailgate closed on my 1950 Buick Wagon. I can have it made but that takes a while and I would like to have this done this spring. Thanks for any and all help you can give me.
The Old Guy
Bill, if you can't find one, you can weld the old one up and repair it without too much trouble.
Bill Stoneberg
Unfortunatly, I took this off of another car to get pictures and a copy made. My car came with none of the hardware on the back end. I didn't know that until it was time to put it back together.
The Old Guy
I have seen enough of your posts to think that you would not have automatically fixed the one in the picture.NOW I KNOW WHY YOU ARE IN NEED I hope you get it done in time for the meet in Plano. I will also be driving a wagon, but it is a 69 Sportwagon. i would like to drive my 40, but the 69 has AC ,and the wife has decreed" No AC no go "
Guest
Hey Joe, you could always leave her at home and drive the '40.
The Old Guy
It is obvious you have never met " The Polish Princess" or you would not have even thought of that
Restorer32
If the owner will allow you could have one cast in bronze fairly quickly. For further info e-mail me.
Bill Stoneberg
I have taken it to the casting shop today. That was the reason I got it from the owner in the first place. I will have 4 made because spares are a good thing (my Martha reference).I have used this guy before and he does a good job at a reasonable price. While I was there a lady brought in a dead bird for him to cast, it seems she gets all her birds that die cast in bronze to remember them. It take all kinds. Joe, I am looking forward to seeing you in Dallas.
