AK Buickman Posted November 2, 2001 Share Posted November 2, 2001 On Friday, October 29, 1954 through <BR>Sunday, October 31, 1954, Buick Motor Division's Chicago Zone held their <BR>"Chicago Dynarama Special" to prepare dealers for the November 15, 1954 public introduction of the "Thrill of the Year" brand new 1955 Buicks!!!<BR>Forty-seven years later, the '55 Buicks continue to be the "Thrill of the Year".<BR>How exciting it would have been to attend this event! It certainly was a "Thrill" even though I was only 9 years old. I remember that like it was yesterday. We were in a warehouse full of 55"s looking at the one they wanted. My father picked out a black with a dover white top. The interior was tri-color, black, red, & white. The black meterial had silver laced through it. What a fine car, what GREAT memories........
