Barney Eaton
Good to see that Chuck has returned to the Reatta discussion. For those of you new to the discussion page, Chuck purchased 901554, the last 1991 built. The car was at the Sloan and he purchased it at auction with about 40 original miles. The car was shown by Chuck at the Columbus meet.Because of business needs, Chuck sold the car (back to GM) and they had the car at Kokomo and it appeared briefly at Flint. The main thing I remember was trying to help him unload the car at Columbus. He had picked it up that morning in Flint and they had helped him load and secure it to the trailer. When he crawled under the trailer to unhook the tie-downs, he starts SCREAMING...... "THERE ARE SIGNATURES UNDER HERE"The assembly line people had signed the underside of the car with their names, in a few cases the date. I can see why GM wanted the car. If you ever get a chance to view 901554, look under the car.
