Guest
I have a 1972 455 cid buick motor. I have a broken left rocker arm. It is of the cast pot metal type. I ordered a new rocker arm from autozone and it is steel. Can I use it in place of the broken one or do they all have to be of the same type? Someone told me that cast and steel buick rockers will give me different valve height lift and cannot be used together. Is this true? If I do have to have them matched could someone out there sell me a cast left side rocker? Thanks for your replies. Larry
Smartin 1,796
I think what you're referring to are the Aluminum rockers? There is a guy giving aluminum and steel assemblies away on the v8buick board...http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27495
