Missing brake parts for 37

This is a kicker. My 37 LZ brakes seemed solid so I did not check them until last week. I discovered that only have three brakes. Not three working brakes, but really only three brakes! The driver's rear has not a single brake part in it. The cable just went to the wheel and was hooked in a hole. Can't believe how well the brakes still worked. If anyone has some extra rear driver's mechanical brake parts, let me know.

Isn't it amazing the way some people solve problems in cars without any regard as to the potential problems they might be causing. Especially when it comes to brake and suspension.

I just checked my handy trusty chassis parts book and it appears that all brake parts are the same from l936 to 38. They do differ from left to right though so make sure you know left from right. That is not as silly as it sounds. Left and right are identified from the drivers perspective, not someone standing in front of the car.

P.S. If you need new linings on the shoes, look up brake supplies in the yellow pages. These places usually only supply parts for big trucks, but usually will reline car shoes. Do not have the lining bonded but rivoted to the shoes. It appears that cooling is better with rivoted lining. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />These places can also rebuild clutch plates and discs too.Usually prices are in the truck class rather than the car class.
