Service Manual??

67Cadi

Recommended Posts

I bought a Chilton's Manual for Cadillac 1967 to 1989. It's just a bit vague for what I am wanting. It doesn't show the drum brake configuration on my '67. Bit it does show a nice "typical" layout for a drum brake! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

What would be a more accurate service book for the car? I have seen a couple of Shop Manuals on e-bay, but haven't come across one for the '67. Is there a source for a reproduction of the original shop manuals?

Thanks!

Mick

Try contacting Crank'en Hope Publications at 724-459-8853. I just received reprinted 48 Caddy tech manual from them. This company reprints many factory manuals,. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I hope so. This outfit regularly lists manuals in E-Bay. Had a catalog of their manuals some time back, but it has been misplaced. The books that I have gotten from them are very good. Afraid to guess price, I got mine at an E-Bay auction. Hope they have what you are looking for! Good luck, Bob grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Hey I got 2 service '67 manuals! blush.gif

I bid on one from California, and then found one in the same area I live in!

So bid won the local one and picked up the book Monday, then I just got a note that I won the second one! shocked.gif

They are awesome great detail and troubleshooting charts! Looks like it will be a great reference!

Hey Mick! I did too! I found and bought two original NOS manuals, one for the '47 Cadillac Shop Manual and one Fischer Body Manual for the '47.

I also found the Original '77 Eldorado Shop Manual, and a 1972 Cadillac Shop manual for my son's Brithday...all around $20 a pop! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hey! Congrats, Mick! I love eBay for that. I found another book...a beautifully maintained NOS owner's manual for the '47. I have the original for the '77. I am glad you found the manuals you needed, and knowing eBay, you got them at a great price! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Oh there are all sorts of related material...wiring plans and bullitens but honestly I do not know what they are called off the top of my head. Sounds like you are on your way to gathering all the fun stuff! I found a period (40's) electric shaver by remington for the 110v and the 6v systems with a car adapter. It still has all the booklets and stuff....wouldn't that be fun?

I was bidding on a stop light prizm too but it was a little costly so I let it go.

I have a picknic tray for the car and I am looking for other little silly things for the '47 Cadillac.
