Randal, et all,

Good grief you guys are still pups. I had no idea. I have survived thus far for 62 years but at least my cars are older than I. My '15 Dodge Brothers is 88 years old and my '28 is 75 years and the '34 is 69 years old. I hope I am still working as well when I reach their age. Keep up the good work y'all!

Sorry I missed this one...well I saw it because like taxes and body odor, I am always there!!!...I love it! I HAVE a Dandy Dinky just like that, 'cept she is now over a year old.

Actually I would love to adopt a French Bulldog or an Old English Bulldog...but that is another story. Good job, Rich. I think you and Tommy 1927 have a unique talent. When I decide what it is I'll let you know (nudge nudge).

I'm 55 and just survived my 36th Hershey. My Son is 20 and just did his 21st Hershey. We've restored (or are in the process of restoring) cars from '08,'09,'10,'17,'19,'20,'21,'23,'24,'28,'29,'30,'31,'32,'33,'36,'37,'40,'47,'49,'53,'57,'58 and still going strong! Best hobby in the world and I have been very lucky to have earned my living for 25 years doing exactly what I enjoy most. Have met some wonderful folks and have watched the hobby grow beyond anything I would have thought possible. I hope to have my ashes scattered over the flea market at Hershey...but not for quite awhile!

Yes fellows, it's Saturday, the day I take my weekly bath. I was really bored today, so I decided to get my bath early. Here I am, sitting in my undies(ladies close your ears/eyes ) and it dawned on me. I can figure out all those ages you guys need, because I have 20 digits at my disposal to compute with now! Ok, here's how it comes out; me-56, most body parts still work; Ford-71, missing some parts, some parts tranplanted from other vehicles(better not go there); Ford-68, most parts there, major heart transplant(better not got here either); Chevy-47, got all it's original parts(well it's still missing some interior pieces, and Earl says it has those nasty type wheels, "I'll correct it Earl,OK?"); Corvette-38, still young for it's age, everything there and loves to show off with it's noisy exhaust, lifters, and mech. injection doing it's thing. Now, I'm going to get my bath, it's getting funky in this room for some reason? You guys asked for it, you'll just have to suffer along with the rest of my family. Wayne

Let's see.

I'll freely admit to being 46.

(Vern can weigh in on his own, if he wants to.)

Vern's Buick Century is 66.

My Rambler American is 39.

Vern's Cadillac Sedan De Ville is 11, working towards collector status.

My Chrysler T&C is 5.

We've got two kids in their 30's, one in his 20's and Scott brings up the rear at 10. Grandchildren are 6, 5, 4, and 1.

And our home is 72.

Note: Vern worked in a museum, so he really likes old stuff. I'm one of the few new things he ever took a second look at! But it won't be much longer and I'll fit right in with the rest of his old stuff....

Hey Scott, no fair making us do the math on the ages of the vehicles!

Hey Howard, I hear there was some dissension about your age and that they are recending your age until the investigation is complete. How does it feel to be ageless?

Hey Randall, I've been told I'm good for nothing most of my life

Sorry

1970 Buick Skylark - 33

1985 GMC Suburban - 18

2003 Ford F-450 - Still a newborn at about 10 months old, but about 10 years old from all the wear and tear. These Sweepers go to heck and back. Already has 22000 miles, 7 oil changes, one set of brakes and numerous scratches and dents.

Rich

PS: I owe him money, don't mention my name if you do know him

PPS: Jay if you are reading this it's not really me... it just looks like me

Says that you are a man that likes quality and durability! VWs are wonderful cars...and Fords are solid, dependable vehicles. I have had a soft spot in my heart for certain Fords like the 1949 Ford Fordor, the 1957 Ford Fairlane...skyliner etc., the 1965/66 Ford Galaxys. I have never owned a Ford but my son does and loves it, a 1967 Ford Mustang. It is a great car to drive.

41 with a 4 year old daughter plus an ageless harridan who constantly deflates my bloated ego. grin.gifgrin.gif

Best line on aging. Adolph Zukor, one of the founders of Hollywood was reading a newspaper article about himself, it reported him as "nearing ninety",

His aide derided this but Zukor replied"hell,it's a better line than 'services will be private' ".
