Rick, Are you going to have another DF party at your shop? The past three years have been great to meet and put faces with DF names.

Some info for you new guys:

The past 3 years it has started at 6:30 or 7:00, some come after they eat, some before. Rick has snacks and drinks and there is a brief introduction period and then people talk cars, the DF and tour Rick's restoration shop.

Sure, let's do it again!

I just can't believe we've been doing it for 4 years already. As in the past, you are all very welcome to come and visit. And by all means, bring along any of your friends you're traveling with. This has always been a great time to get together, talk cars, shoot the breeze and have a good time on a Wednesday night. Anyone that needs directions from the Hershey Fall Meet Show Fields over to the shop, just send me a e-mail or mention it on here and I'll e-mail you a map with directions. The shop is 7 miles south of Hershey.

Let's make it the same as before.

Wednesday, October 8th, anytime after 6PM. I should be back from the show fields by then.

Looking forward to it!

Rick

Sorry Bruce, that '42 Caddy Convertible is sold and gone. Still hope you can make it though!

Jack,

The only thing you did to upset me was leave and head back to Florida! You could had stayed another 3 weeks and made the party. Besides, I noticed how quick you were to get out the door after I asked you stick around and paint a couple cars for me. Tell you what ol' buddy, jump back in that Packard and head on up here.

Ron, I was hoping you'd make it this time. Maybe next year? Or, you could pull out of that dinner early and stop over? Grab Cal and bring him along. You can finish listening to him over here! Remember, you're only 5 minutes away that night.

Wayne, if you can make it and you're in that Pete, call me about a place to park before getting here as I'm back in the woods a little. I don't want to see you get in a tight spot, as I know some of you fancy rig drivers have problems backing up.

Hey guys ---- Rick has been hosting this get together for four years now. What say each of us pick up a bag of chips, fritos, pretzels or a big bottle of soda and bring it along. Rick does enough having to get ready for us without having to pick up the tab too. This is a DFer's party at Ricks place, not a business promotional thing for him.

Things are looking up. I now have first, second AND third and overdrive gears. Also, got the torque converter to stop bouncing between lock-up and unlocked. Dang wire connector was fixing to fall completely of the throttle postion sensor. Headed to a concert to night with the truck. Will know for sure if it is cured.

Can't wait to head up there.

Ron,

I was hoping you'd bring the Famous Flory BBQ again. And since HVS can't make it, that's all the more for us!

Come on Novaman, lets get it fixed and make it up here. I have faith in you!

And yes nearchocolatetown, I caught that Hoover type remark you made. Now you can bring your own drinks for that one.

Sending a few directions out. Anyone else need one?

I'M FIXED!!! Drove the truck about 250 miles. Never missed a lick. See you all in Hershey.

Let's see.

1. load camper on truck.

2. find clean clothes to take.

3. get rain gear.

4. get snow gear (weather report says 10% chance of rain on Tues. & Fri. Hi's of 60's lows of 40's) Which part of the forecast is wrong?

5. Don't forget the flea market stuff....

Tommy,

Actually, the party isn't mine, it's all of ours that talk on here. I'm just the guy offering a place close by to Hershey so we can get together and meet. In the past Tommy, we have been here as late as 10 to 10:30. Most head out around 9 or so, but we always have a few that want to stick around, shoot the breeze a little longer and finish up any left over BBQ of Ron Florys.

I'll be heading over tomorrow to work at Hershey, but if there's any last minute directions needed, I can send some out tonight yet. Looking foward to seeing all of you again and meeting those that I haven't before.

Hi everyone. I just got home from Rick's party, 2:00am Eastern Standard Time, you all. Had a great time, a few Directors showed up, we were easy on them. I've got pictures, but that'll have to wait until next week. I don't want to surprise those not able to protect themselves from my "revealing" pictures. Thanks go to Rick, Ron for his excellent BarbiQ, and the cookies from whoever sent them. I enjoyed myself, even though Rick embarrassed me by having to turn my truck around for me. Wayne

Winking? What's you talkin' about Randall? If you did in fact wink at me, you should immediately take a good handful of wheel, cause Wayne don't wink back....Oh! 'Cuse me Randall, I missed the headlight part there, Bud! Yeh, I "wink" (notice quotation marks there, Randall) once and a while when I really notice you. I don't want you guys to take this wrong, but I can pass a vehicle and 2 minutes later look in my mirrow and wonder where the vehicle came from. I do this all the time, it's something mental, no automatic I guess since I've been doing it so long. Yesterday morning, up at 6:30 to get breakfast before Pedro picked me up and took me to the "show". Met up with Ron Flory, then wore my legs out all day looking for friends, found Howard Scotland and then Bruce Wheeler rang me up and walked over to Howard's flea site. We had a great time discussing wine, women, and song...no,no, actually the AACA and politics(a popular subject with Howard), and Howard's life as an Air Force man and on into his career as a glassman. I found out that I used to actually deliver grain next door to his business back in 1977-78. Small world. Also, caught up with Pat/ex98thdrill and his dad and spent a lot of time with Bob/want1937hd. If you fellows remember a Joris(sic) from the Netherlands(prewarcars.com)from last year, he showed up at Bob's "place" after a terrible 26 hour flight back and forth over the Atlantic as he missed a flight and got flown back over the ocean, long story, long day, lost luggage, all just to see Hershey. How about that? Then, of course Rick's party. That'll be next week or the weekend when I have time for pictures. See ya, Wayne
