Have you LOOKED at the new Cadillacs lately???

My son and I went out today to look at old cars, and to go see some of the new ones around the block. Well, I am not a fan of Fords but I found I was more impressed by their product than those by GM, especially the Cadillac. First, I could not FIT in the CTS, nor the STS. Hips were pinched, knees hit the wheel or the side of the dash. My feet were constrained in their motion around the pedals. Another thing, when did they go to the 'one style fits all' interior schemes?

They all look alike! Plain, plastic and blah. With the exception of the CTS, all had embossed Cadillac coat of arms on plastic wheels and horn buttons on the steering. Yuuck! I asked the sales person if they would someday go back to a nice chrome and enameled emblem and was told yes they would. Thank god. Either the car is gaudy or it is bland, there is no inbetween, and to make matters worse, they have made all the optional equipment controls the same blah tan plastic as the rest of the car...no chrome foil, no color, nothing. I found the trucks to be unimpressive as well, and small. My son is 6'1" and he kept hitting his head. The only car I fit comfortably in was the $50000 DeVille, and it left me completely cold. I could just have well been looking at a Chevrolet. I will say I like the designs of the CTS, but its small size and $37,000 price tag makes it untenable. Then when I happened to wander over to a Lincoln Navigator, I found the interior to be trendy and interesting. I was crest fallen. So we headed back to my 1977 Eldorado Biarritz and left.
