Guest
Hi, I will be attending an AACA show this weekend, my 68 camaro RS SS convertible is rare with all the correct numbers matching and also has the original interior and other things such as the original spare tire. Is it "acceptable" to identify these types of items for the judges and others to know since my car is usually up against many cars that have been restored and of course are going to be in better condition than an original interior though it is very clean but still 36 years old ? Thanks for any help and replies...I've been struggling with the option of replacing it with new factory interiors but know that its "only original once" :-)
1937hd45
Is the $10.00 trophy worth the cost of loosing the original interior?
Guest
Very good point, I would say no its not. So on to my question of would be be frowned upon to label or identify its originality or just let it go. Thanks.
Ron Green
You can point things out but the big picture is the most cleanest factory correct interior, etc be it reproduction or original will win the least amount of deductions, not which car has original parts still on. If this is a national AACA event remember you cannot talk to the judges only the team captain. It's only original once. Good luck!
66 Mystery Chevelle
A good veteran Judge should not need for you to point that out, he/she should be able to spot original vs. repro. or restored.Mike
