ghostymosty
Seems like mine is toast, won't work even with testing from battery for 12volt source. Glad it didn't really overheat, I was just on a short trip when it happened. It didn't look like the motor is easy to seperate from the shroud assembly so I thought I'd ask if anyone has done that. And when I was under it, unhooking the wiring harness to do the test, I saw grease on the inside of the passenger wheel so that cv boot needs replacing. I also saw a little seepage from a transmission sensor. I'm thinking the car knows that I put it up for sale! Any aftermarket fan motors or assemblies that work in the V6 TC?David Lawrence, triple black 91Riverside, CATCA #0143 <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
jcnjc2
You might want to check this website :http://www.ece.arizona.edu/~spikey/FanMotor/HowTo.shtmlSpikey has a LaBaron (TC wannabe) and has a great site for working on the Mitsubishi V6.Good luck,jc
ghostymosty
Looks like I might have messed up the fan itself while trying to get it off the motor. A bushing like thing stayed on the motor shaft but I think it may be part of the fan center, it was siezed onto the shaft and took a heck of a lot of effort to get them apart. Tried the flexlite #116 electric fan but it is just about 1 1/2 inches too tall to stay flush on the radiator. And it was defective as well. ghostymosty
Same assembly as the 90 Spirit/Acclaim/LeBaron with V6. I just changed the whole thing with a used assembly.
