Auto Cylinder Head

6 cylinder, cylinder head, word Spitfire W/arrows at each end, 1120806-2 raised numbers at one end. Whar year and car does it go to?

Sounds like a Chrysler head, probably '41-'54 vintage.

(I know that the '46-'48 Chrysler 6 (250 CID) definitely had "Spitfire" heads)

How long is it from end-to-end?

Cast-iron or Aluminum?

Hello Frank: Thanks for your info. on the cylinder head. It's Cast Iron and measures 25 5/16 X 7 5/16. Thank you, John

That's definitely from a "big" Chrysler six (241, 250, 265 cid); Standard Catalog of Chrysler says that the Spitfire name appeared on Chrysler sixes & eights in 1941; it was definetly on them through '48, and probably remained there 'till '54, when the last flat-head sixes were offered on Chrysler cars.

I agree. Just saw one on a 1947 Chrysler Town and Country woody sedan with flat head six.
