pint4
Last month I was digging through some of my old car parts stored in the back corner of the garage and dug out a Stewart Speedometer. It appears to be something that would be found on a pre-1930's car. Does anyone know what year these types of speedometers were used? See attachment. Buicksplus
That sure is a beautiful instrument.I would think this came from a brass era car, like 1915 or earlier. Why? Well, it is made of brass and has no logo on it. Then, most gages were supplied by vendors like Stewart and mounted on a dashboard or floorboard, perhaps with a bracket like your instrument has. Units integrated into the dash came much later, in the 20's and 30's, and your instrument looks too old for that.So how many miles are on it?
