Blue1990
Hi Everybody, I am about to replace the rear struts on my 90 Reatta, but I am concerned that I will have to cut out the very long bolt that goes through everything, the suspension, the strut, etc. Where can I get that bolt and how the heck do I ID that bolt. I have a parts list for a 90 Reatta and I cannot seem to find this bolt. Can you guys help me out. Thanks a ton.
Guest EDBS0
If you are referring to the main shaft you had better have a torch because a saw is not going to get through the hardened chromium shaft. AND if it did it would still be attached at the top <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />Try holding the shaft with a plumber's pipe wrench or vice grips. Mine came apart relatively easily. Only do this if you never are going to use it again.
