Guest Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Just purchased a 1950 Chrysler Windsor 2dr. Where is the Fuse Box???
Guest DeSoto Frank Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Don't knock yourself out looking - there is none!"Fuse boxes /blocks" didn't show up on most cars (including MoPars) until the mid-to late 1950's.I have a 1950 New Yorker myself, and from what I recall, any fuses are "in-line", near the "point of use".For example, if the car has a radio, then there is an inline fuse holder on the power wire to the radio. Same goes for the clock, cigar lighter, heater, turn signals, etc.The headlights and the electric winshield wiper motor have "self-resetting" circuit breakers. If you can score an original or reprinted shop manual for your car, it will have wiring diagrams which list fuses, sizes ,and approx locations.Good Luck!Frank McMullenIf you can get one
