The drag race at Milan Dragway is from noon to four on Friday, the twentfifth. I am not sure how many DFers are going to the race, but I imagine there will be quite a few. Is there any other time available? I suggested that we meet before the general membership meeting on Thursday night , or at a specified time in the hospitality tent, but did not get any responses.

As I recall. Old Country Buffet opened for lunch at 11:00 AM (they've all gone under in Cincy and Pittsburgh). Could we move the time up and accommodate more? It'd beat a track food lunch.

Milan is 70 miles from Flint ,and the gates open at 10:30AM to allow the participants time to prepare their Buicks( change tire etc.) I expect most participants will leave Flint in the 9:30-10:00 range. If anything, we could meet for breakfast. Roberta suggested meeting and going down to the track in a convoy. I will leave earlier ,as I need to make sure that the gates are open. Spectators will probably come in when the racing starts.

ok,

why don't you guys print the page and write the AM meeting and the Noon meeting and post it on the bullet board were every that will be located.

I will not be in Flint until early Friday morning, so i'm not sure i'll make the early one.

we're all flexible, so who ever makes it, makes it.

Did this work? Did anyone attend?

I went to my car to come to this lunch @ 11:30, and there were two nearly inaccessable spaces left in my section. I decided discretion is the better part of valor and ate at the onsite buffet (very good for it's type and price, by the way!). After lunch there were 10 or 12 cars from my section parked accross the street in an overflow area.

Sorry if I missed anyone! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

i set it up and was pissed I had to go......

but, I did pull out at 11:50am on friday to go to the lunch-in. (I had just drove my 1950 750 miles, and arrive at 8am)

I get to lunch-in parking lot and I don't see one Buick in the lot. I think great, I'll stick my head in, then go back to the show...

Turns out there were 40 members from my 27 group, and another 30 members of the 50 group!

I ask the manager if and third group was there, but he did not know..... I did have time to look for them...

I guess it was a good idea, provide you were not in all three groups!

more to come, I got back this morning at 1:30am....

rain, rain, rain in PA, and the traffic was bumper to bumper on I-80... 30 mph
