Cypher22 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) Hello, need help finding gaskets for rebuilding the oil pump. Also looking for the thermostat housing (part#1293227) for the same 1936 buick special. Any help and guidance is really appreciated. Edited Sunday at 10:14 PM by Cypher22 (see edit history)

1937-44 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I have the thermostat outlet from a 1937 Buick Series 40 which I guess would work according to your first picture. However it doesn't look exactly like your second. picture.
Cypher22 Posted November 30 Author Posted November 30 Thank you, I appreciate that. But I need the lower.

Sorry, when you said you needed the upper thermostat housing I thought you meant the outlet. I do have a complete (upper and lower) that will need a good soaking to free up the bolts to separate available. I'm asking $60 plus shipping.
Cypher22 Posted Sunday at 10:01 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:01 PM That’s the wrong one. Notice how the bolt holes on yours are aligned to each other. The one that came off my car are offset. One is higher than the other one just like the one in the black and white picture. The one I’m posting is the one that came off my car.
1937-44 Posted Sunday at 10:18 PM Posted Sunday at 10:18 PM (edited) You're correct. To be honest I'm confused, because I've only parted out 1937 and 1938 Specials and this came off of one of them somewhere along the line. I'm beginning to think the car I parted out had a later engine. The one on my car is the same as yours and the one in the picture. What's wrong with yours? I'm sure he should be able to supply you with one. You can best reach him by calling 763-427-3460 between 4 and 7 pm Central.
Cypher22 Posted Monday at 08:34 PM Author Posted Monday at 08:34 PM I’ll try calling because mine is beyond repair. The inside is rotted out.
1937-44 Posted Monday at 08:50 PM Posted Monday at 08:50 PM That looks pretty bad. I'll look around to see if I have another one but doubt it. Try Dave.
