1953-54 antenna base location

I want to add an antenna to my '54 which never had a radio.  I have an original non-power antenna base and all the necessary pieces to put it on.  The only issue is where to locate the fender holes.  I know it goes on the driver's front fender.  There would need to be 2 holes drilled.  Does anyone have a template or measurements where to put these holes?  Thanks much for your help.
