Steve Moskowitz Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Long time member, Gettysburg region editor and a prolific poster on this site has passed away at the age of 63. Pretty shocking. I have no further word at this point.
kar3516 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I’m so sorry to hear of John’s passing. My condolences to his family. 63 is so young. Kent 1
58L-Y8 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 My condolences to his family, what a terrible shock. He was very knowledgeable and civil in his responses, I always looked forward to his comments on specific cars that were posted here. Life is short, make worthwhile use of one's time, no guarantee of another tomorrow. RIP John-S. 2
Matt Harwood Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Oh my, that's very bad news. I enjoyed talking with him and met him at Hershey. He was a consistent voice of kindness and reason on this forum, always polite and inevitably helpful. He will be badly missed. We'll have a good thought for his family this holiday season. 4 2
EmTee Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Very sorry to hear this. I never met him in person, but I discovered from this forum that we typically liked the same cars posted in the "Not Mine Autos For Sale" area. I'll certainly miss his contributions here; RIP... 3
Walt G Posted November 25 Posted November 25 (edited) I am in shock, John and I have never met in person but had some excellent emails about all types of cars especially Locomobile of the teens and twenties that we both cherished. So very very sad. 1 hour ago, 58L-Y8 said: Life is short, make worthwhile use of one's time, no guarantee of another tomorrow. These words are so true - after my own health issues 7 years ago I am just happy to be able to see the next day arrive. RIP John . Walt Edited November 25 by Walt G (see edit history) 2 4
Terry Bond Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Oh no! I've known John for years. He was a prolific writer and I always enjoyed spending time with him. This is a big loss to our forum and the old car world. Terry 3

rocketraider Posted November 30 Posted November 30 The one word that best described JohnS is "gentleman". Had no idea of his passing. Steve, keep us posted. 1

dibarlaw Posted Thursday at 03:12 PM Posted Thursday at 03:12 PM (edited) Thank you for posting the link Karl. As the former director of our local Buick Club of America chapter. I was familiar with John. What I sent out to our group.... Mason/Dixon Group: I was just on the AACA General forum the thread "IN MEMORIUM" when I saw this posting. So very sad to lose another supporter of the old car hobby. John had attended many of our Freysinger shows. I had only a passing acquaintance with John but I am sure that some of you may be more familiar with him. On the comments section of the obituary, I see Dick and Karen Beckley had already expressed condolences. Best to all: Larry Edited Thursday at 03:13 PM by dibarlaw spelling (see edit history)
