Looks highly incorrect in white.  Poor decision.  Wheels look smaller in diameter (newer style) than stock.  Something about the trunk doesn't look "right" on this car.  Too big?  Sitting Too high?  A black trunk sticks out like a sore thumb on this all white car.   Could have been a magnificent car had it been tastefully restored.   At least the interior seems well done and close to correct.

Looks like a pretty decent car, nary a word about this particular car in the ad but does offer the whole Imperial history.

So, why is there what looks like a window crank on the back of the front seat?

It moves the front seat, back cushion forward or backward. The seat cushion is stationary on these cars and only the back cushion moves the driver closer or farther from the steering wheel.

Interesting, never knew that.

Thanks for the education.

So the rear seats passengers can control the position of the front seat?  Interesting.

Only if they’re cranky passengers…

I guess they could. I don't know why Chrysler did this on the CH models. I don't think any earlier Chryslers had any seat adjustment at all. I'll have to refresh my memory when I look at my other cars tomorrow.

I recently reupholstered the seat in a Chrysler 77 roadster, at the time owned by the late Frank Wright, and sold this year at Hershey auction.

The driver’s seat was adjustable, quite an unusual setup.  The cushion and backrest were joined with two L-shaped brackets, and the bracket was fixed on backrest but mounted to a board on cushion.  The board on the cushion was attached only to springs so that it could flex.  A large T-handle at back top of seat changed the position and angle of the seat.

Quite interesting, and nothing I’ve seen on any other car.

A 40 year old restoration, the car was in beautiful condition except for the seats, as Frank drove the car quite a bit.
