I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1966 AMC Ambassador DPL 2dr Hardtop, 6-cyl, auto, 32K miles.

Note: Here is an oddity possible back then when even topline models came with basic 6-cylinder engines and no power accessories as standard, when the options list was long, just check the boxes to order what one wanted. A top-of-the-AMC line 1966 Ambassador DPL 2dr Hardtop ordered with only automatic transmission, optional hounds tooth bucket seat interior with matching pillows, radio, and heater/defroster. No V8, no A/C, no Power Steering or Power Brakes, no vinyl top and maybe others not visible in the photos.

Very unusual top of the line DPL, few options. Those are the original DPL-only houndstooth seats- and rare that the pillows are intact. Maybe ordered as an advertising loss leader by the dealer.

The odder thing is that it survived!

Why the seller won't spring for a brake job is even odder to me!

Throw those flame floor mats in the dumpster.

Missing the headlight bezels.

The  brake wheel cylinders are around $10 plus shipping on Rockauto. It's a cool car for sure.
