Angelfish Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Without taking it out. It’s not as bad as it looks but needs polished up. I have about 1/2” access around the perimeter, easily cleaned with a toothbrush. Emery cloth, crocus cloth, etc. Its a Mercedes-Benz M117 450 V8.

Frank DuVal Posted October 3 Posted October 3 550 cord helps the sandpaper. What's 550? Parachute cord. Watch you tube videos. But I have done it with just the sandpaper for light cleaning. Last resort, is there an available sleeve? ❓ But I'm sure sandpaper will fix it just fine.

Much better for polishing cylindrical shapes...............Bob 2
mikewest Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Buy or machine a thin Speedy sleeve - Otherwise its still going to leak. If you cant buy one and good shop can make one. Light press fit or tight fit with locktite. 1
