Walt G Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) I have several photos taken of this car when new. Here is one , perhaps made for McCauley ? I do not know the history so am not going to even lay down comments of "what may have been or who may have owned it" That would be myth and although I consider myself a story teller it is not about history where I stamp my foot and insist it is all true because I believe it. Enjoy the photo and lets hear your comments of fact please.😇 Edited September 28 by Walt G (see edit history) 3
Gary_Ash Posted September 28 Posted September 28 It's the 1933 Macauley Special. Wray Schelin has been building a replica steel body for one. Just bring your chassis and have Wray fit it. See https://www.proshaper.com/1933-packard-macauley-special/ Replica of Macauley Special in Wray Schelin's shop, Charlton, MA. Rear view of Macauley Special. 1 1
Walt G Posted September 28 Author Posted September 28 Thank you Gary! I recall seeing the photos you posted but brain fade has set in with the high humidity and dew point here on Long Island for the past few months. THANK YOU again Walt
58L-Y8 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Packard: A History of The Motor Car and The Company, Edited by Beverly Rae Kimes, pages 428 and 429, General Edition, Second Printing. Personally, the first version was the best, the further versions started to be a styling mix which didn't quite work aesthetically. It's been determined it ended up re-bodied as the sport sedan. 3
