registration question

A very good friend of mine wishes to show his beautiful 41 Packard Woody at the Western Division Fall Meet. As he is a new member to AACA, he is not familiar with registration. He asked me last night how to register and I asked if he had sent in the request form that comes with the magazine. Evidently he had either not received one or didn't recognize it as a request form.Is there a way for him to get a new request form? Also his car is a previous senior car but that was prior to his purchase. How does he proceed with judging under his ownership and how does he find out what its registration number was? I also registered awhile back but have not received any information. Will it be forthcoming? I don't know if I should have received it by now. Thanks for your advice, Chuck F.

Chuck... If your friend has not yet recieved or lost the meet request card he can call AACA National Headquarters in Hershey, Pa. and request one. Now as to his car: He needs to remove the Senior tab that is mounted behind the National First Prize Winner badge and return it to the VP of Senior Car Awards. His address is in your Antique Automobile magazine. Upon sale of any Senior or higher award winning vehicle, the vehicle reverts back to its First Junior winner status. The higher awards must be won in the new owners own name. There will be a space on the registration form asking in what year did the vehicle win its First Junior award, as well as the previous owners name. You might suggest your friend call the person who he bought the car from and verify that indeed that was the same person who won that award. The year of the award can be found on the National First Prize oval badge affixed to the vehicle. As far as your own registration goes... Many regions hosting a National Meet do not send out any confirmations unless requested to do so with the entry. If you are concerned about it check with your bank to see if your check cleared and/or check with the meet officials listed in the brochure. Hope this is helpful to you. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
