vintagerodshop
Hello, fellow Detroit enthusiasts. I recently pulled my 1922 Detroit out of storage and found this pair of clamps attached to a steel cable. Is this something that belongs to my Detroit? Perhaps a ground strap while charging? rotus8
I would say no, unless someone has modified the rear brake actuators. They should have solid rods going to the brakes, but might have been changed to cables? They don't look like anything on my car.

Is there a registry for Detroit. Any way to track down previous owners?
Akstraw
I have done a total restoration of a DE. I do not recognize these cables. Could be a grounding strap of some sort, though, as you speculate. BTW, Very nice looking car!
Akstraw
After looking at it a bit, I think it could be some type of lifting strap for a golf cart style battery.
