1937McBuick Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Good day Folks, It's been a while since I've been here and I'm looking for advice/ opinions. While googling 37 Buick and looking at pictures, I noticed these hood support rods on this 37. I've never known them to be original equipment. I assume they're aftermarket or from some other vehicle. Does anyone recognize them? My car is getting close to complete..... I've had it since 1986, it's about time! 1
Mark Shaw Posted September 22 Posted September 22 (edited) 1938 Buicks had a flat hood rod with a rubber tip that rotated up and down into a clip on the firewall. See photo: Edited September 22 by Mark Shaw (see edit history)
1937McBuick Posted September 23 Author Posted September 23 Thanks Mark. I just find it odd Buick in 1937 would have been satisfied resting the lower rear corner of the engine hood side panel on the cowel. Rubber corner cover OR NOT.
