kar3516
I commented about the Airflow sales at Auburn on another thread. According to the auction website they sold a substantial number of cars at “everyman” prices. While it is impossible to know the condition of these cars looking at results pricing it makes for an interesting discussion. Many Model As and Ts well under $10,000 along with this sampling of results (results website link below): https://listings.worldwideauctioneers.com/results/?utm_campaign=au24&utm_medium=email&utm_source=ActiveCampaign&utm_content=french Edited September 5 by kar3516 (see edit history)

Several of those looked interesting at the hammer price. I like that early Packard touring.

trimacar
Yes, a few good buys there for sure. I like the Ford Vicky! What's a 1957 Chevrolet "parade special" convertible? A hardtop with top cut off? That's a new description I've not heard before. 2
Steve_Mack_CT
Wow a lot of choices under $20k. Hopefully some of these went to new hobbyists!

Steve_Mack_CT
57 Chevy Parade Special - the car "Bowser" must be referring to when he asks "What's shakin baby" 😁 1

Just wait until the body sag makes the doors pinch or fly open on turns...

It isn't a convertible if it has nothing to convert. I have cut the roof off a couple of cars. One was a 1962 Buick Electra 225 6 window hardtop. I grafted on a '62 Olds convert windshield frame and made a pretty convincing parade boot. There was a Loins Club car show in town one day and I stood in the garage doorway looking at the foreboding weather deciding if I should go. I did. It rained shortly after I arrived. When I sought shelter in a friend's original '57 Ford convertible I realized how little difference having a top meant. Wet anyway.
GrumpyJim
The Collector Car Hobby, for the past year or so, as whole has been down. I am surprised at how low some of those prices were.
