New to me 1948 Coupe Sedan, questions are sure to be coming

I bought this car from my uncle. He bought it from the original owner in 1973 and still has contact with the original owner (family) It is in overall great shape for being original for the most part. It has bumps and bruises and some previous touch up spots. The only major rust is the rear fender/body mating flange. The welting rotted and rusted. I will have to rebuild the flanges or mold the fenders to the car. I got the car running and it runs well but does smoke, I am hoping a little driving will clear it up. I have ordered new wheel cylinders for all 4 wheels along with rubber hoses and master cylinder. Should be here Friday. I will update as i work on it and I am sure there will be many questions along the way.

Can any member tell me if the coupe and sedan have the same rear fenders? I am looking for some rear fenders with less flange rust but cannot find an answer as to if they are the same.

what is the series number on the firewall tag ?, it can be 25, 26, 27, or 28
