This 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220S sedan is said to have been acquired in Germany and imported into the US by the first owner, and it was acquired by the seller in 1990. The car is finished in gray over red leather and is powered by a 2.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes dual Solex carburetors, 13″ steel wheels, yellow auxiliary lights, chrome bumpers, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. This 220S is offered with service manuals and records. an uninstalled MPH-scale gauge cluster, wooden dashboard components, spare parts, and a clean Washington title. *Not interested in trades*

That explains the BaT style description, which always seems tailored to an audience that doesn't know much about the type of cat for sale. In their effort to be neutral, a lot is left out.
