PFindlay
I picked up these wheels today and would like to ID them, if possible. - ~18.75" across the rim edges (diameter) - 4" wide - 72 spokes - 7 bolt holes - uses a lock ring to hold the tire on Thanks for any suggestions Peter Edited August 5 by PFindlay (see edit history)
Leif Holmberg
It could be Chrysler 1927-1928. A year ago I sold a 18" wheel similar to yours that fitted a Chrysler 1929.
tcslr
Sure looks Chrysler
viv w
I don't think it is 1927 Chrysler as they were 20inch wheels. I'm told the Chrysler model 77 had 7 lug wheels?
DFeeney
Generally speaking 18" wheels appear around 1932.

54Coupe
The one in Leif's first photo even has a 29 Hudson (one year only) hubcap with it.
roysboystoys
Look like Hudson, but not sure ,19" were for the Standard models with the optional wires. 18" might have been for the custom body makers?

Many thanks for these and the other suggestions. Could these be 19" wheels, even though they appear to measure 18.5" in diameter Peter
roysboystoys
Is the tire marked? Usually has size molded on side wall. I'm pretty sure they are 19" , look like the ones i had on my 29 Hudson Can you show us how you are measuring them?

I measured again, this time on the back side. It's 18.5" across the inside of the rim. Add on the thickness of the steel and it's at least 18.75" so it's not an 18" wheel. Must be 19", right? Layden B
Hope this helps. Remember that rim size is the inside diameter of the tire. Go out to the driveway and check out your modem car or truck.
