STEVE POLLARD
This year I will be bringing my 1969 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe to the car show on Friday! As I have mention in another thread, the car is all original with only 7000 miles on it. The last time that I had shown the Impala was back in 2010 at the Hemmings Motor News Concours in Stratton, Vermont. I'm looking forward to Hershey !

STEVE POLLARD
Since the Impala has been in "semi-storage" ( up on casters ) and has not been driven in a while, I drain the gas tank and replaced the fuel filter. Filled up with 94 high octane.... it started right up. Count down to Hershey......
starfireelvis
When I was in little league baseball (about 8 years old, which makes this from 1971), my head coach Moe had a 1969 Chevy Kingswood station wagon, same exact color as your Impala, with the fake wood grain, of course. By that early age, I had already become a car nut, and a speedometer/dashboard geek. And I remember being fascinated by the warning/idiot lights that went horizontally below the speedometer, in groups of three (I think 15 squares in all). I am sure they were for the turn signals, high beams, oil, alternator, brake, etc. I have always wondered if a car or wagon that year could have enough accessories on it, so that all fifteen squares designated something, or what the maximum number was. Like I said, kind of nerdy, but perhaps you can answer. I believe this set-up carried over for the 1970 models as well.

Now I have to look at my other '69 Impala, it has the console with the horse-shoe selector, I'll have to see if the idiot lights replaced the indicator on the column shift cars.
